Need a laptop, phone, monitor, or accessory? The Nexus assistant handles both new and replacement device requests right here in the help center, and keeps your assignment records up to date automatically.
How it works
Just tell the Nexus assistant what you need and it takes care of the rest:
- Ask for a device by category, for example "I need a laptop" or "I need a replacement phone."
- The assistant checks in-stock availability at the Nexus warehouse for a matching device.
- If one is in stock, it assigns the device to you. The asset moves from In stock to Assigned, and a new assignment is opened in your name.
- If nothing suitable is in stock, the assistant raises a procurement request so Nexus can order one.
New device requests
If you're starting a role, taking on new work, or simply need an additional device you're entitled to, ask the assistant for the category you need. It's helpful to mention the intended use (for example, design or development work) so the right specification is assigned.
Replacement device requests
If you're replacing a device that's broken, aging, or being refreshed, say so when you ask. If the problem is a hardware fault, report the issue first so the assistant can check warranty and route it correctly; a replacement may follow automatically. See "Reporting a hardware problem" for details.
What to expect
- In stock: the device is assigned and prepared for shipment or pickup.
- Not in stock: a procurement request is raised and you'll be notified as it progresses.
You can ask the assistant for the status of any request at any time.
